A delectable spice, added most commonly to fruit, especially in fruit chaat. Yummy. It is neither purely a salt nor black.
Usage
"Guavas give me a sore throat."
"Have you tried it with kala namak?"
"That awful smelly thing vendors put on fruit?"
"You crazy? Kala namak smells?"
"What is black about it? It looks pink to me..."
"Is that your objection? I thought you didn't like the smell."
