Fondly called "The king of Indian roads" or the "Amby," this car used to be the punter of cars. Large, steady and reliable; its iconic status was helped by the fact that it was the preferred means of conveyance of India's political leadership who wore safari suits and traveled in them proudly.

Today the ambassador is a bit of a dinosaur awaiting its quiet extinction gracefully albeit sputteringly as it makes its way through the pot-holed roads of India.

The ambassador reminds me of a large fast moving tortoise.
