term given to a truck with a water-tank that is often hired to deliver water during the summer when and if the municipal supply dries up. Long cues can be seen outside a "water-tank" of women holding buckets, during an Indian summer. Also called a water tanker.
hurry up and get the big bucket and go to the water tank or we wont get enough water for one bath also.
