Pride Rice

Nothing to do with pride or arrogance. This is how 'Fried Rice' is spelt on the menus of certain dubious eateries, mostly found along the highways of India. Almost always appears as 'Chikkan Pride Rice' (chicken fried rice) or 'Yegg Pride Rice' (egg fried rice) on menus in these places.

Said menu items almost always look like they have been spelt phonetically.
