A great organization that shows students; life exists outside of classes, movies, daus, home, and cricket too.
Most of those with a stint in NCC are forever thankful for the opportunity.
It's during NCC many boys become men, decide to serve in the country's armed forces, take to adventure sports, meet and know the diverse cultures of the country, see some discipline for the first time ever, learn to handle firearms, and Kudmis get their last chance to become porkis and Porkis to become reasonably responsible civil society members.
The hankering for extra lunch tokens, the bada-kanas, the first encounters with homosexuality and perversions, the competitive spirit, torrents of adult humor, new friendships, oh! you won't ordinarily get to do so much so early in life in so short a time.
One feels sorry for the kids who do not get to do it all. NCC is not only free, it will also widen educational and career opportunities to the cadet.
