When giving someone your mobile number, this is what they may ask you to do: to call them and hang up before they answer, so that your number registers on their phone. If you hire a driver in India, they'll ask you to give them a misscall, and from then on you are magically linked to them, no matter where or when you need to be picked up from.
Usage
You: Please drop me at Connaught Place.
Driver: What time to pick you up, madam?
You: I'm not sure, what is your cell number.
Driver: It is #####, please give me a misscall madam.
