Dappan koothu

Definition

A local form of intense dancing sometimes in front of funeral processions where the dancers totally let go. Dappan means "to hit" and "koothu" means buttocks in Kannada so it translates to dancing with such gusto that you hit your own ass while you do so.

Usage

Vik: That Arun did tappan koodh to rap music and actually hit his own ass several times as he thought he was supposed to do so, based on the samosapedia definition.
Ryan: Has he stopped hitting his ass?
