Approximately 8 o'clock.
A true-blue Indianism that is rooted in the propensity to be habitually late. Which means ke 8 is never really 8, but anywhere between 8.20 and 9 pm. So the commitment to be late begins very early, not 8, but 8-ish.
Or 9-ish, 1-ish, 730-ish and so on.
Usage
Boss: So I want the agenda in my email this evening.
Nitin: Pakka, by 9-ish, sir. I'll call you by 9:30-ish to confirm.
Lata: When will we talk about this wedding thing? I mean, do you want to even get married?
Nitin: By September.... ish... (as his voice trails off)
